How to Choose a Stainless Steel Worktable

Choose the worktable configuration around two decisions: how much accessible storage the kitchen needs, and whether stored items should remain open or enclosed. Then confirm the available floor space, required quantity and any material or accessory requirements before requesting a quotation.

Start with the way the table will be used

A preparation table may need open access to frequently used containers, while a service area may benefit from enclosed storage. List what will be stored below the worktop, how often staff need to reach it and whether doors would restrict movement in a narrow aisle. Sliding doors avoid the swing space required by hinged doors, but the final internal shelf arrangement should be included in the enquiry.

Check the overall dimensions

Our current standard worktable lengths are 1200, 1500 and 1800 mm, with listed overall dimensions of 1200/1500/1800 × 800 × 800 mm. Measure the installation space, doorways and working aisle before choosing. Overall dimensions do not replace a site layout or an approved project drawing.
